• Protecting Women from Abortion Clinic Pressure Tactics – When Michigan abortion clinics trapped women into paying upfront as an end-run around Michigan’s mandated 24-hour waiting period, Cox stopped the practice. He fought the abortion industry’s legal challenge, resulting in a settlement that upheld Michigan’s Informed Consent law. The settlement banned any “pre-payment” for an abortion prior to the 24-hour decisional period and mandated that women sign a consent form prior to undergoing an abortion. • Fighting Obamacare – When the healthcare bill passed, Mike Cox signed Michigan on as one of the first states to challenge its constitutionality the next day. Mike Cox is leading the legal fight against the new healthcare takeover that allows government funding for abortion.
• Defending Life in the Public Square – As Michigan’s first Pro-Life Attorney General, Mike Cox used the bully pulpit of statewide office to speak out in defense of Life.
