Mike Cox Passes 10,000 Fans On Facebook

Personal Approach and Message of Spending Cuts, Tax Cuts Help make Cox First Candidate to Pass Social Networking Threshold

LIVONIA, MI—Mike Cox today welcomed his 10,000th fan on Facebook, the popular social networking website.  Cox regularly posts personal messages and updates on Facebook and Twitter and is the first candidate for Governor in Michigan to pass the 10,000 “fan” threshold.

“I am excited that so many voters across the State are using Facebook to join our campaign to cut government spending, cut taxes on job makers and families and to bring jobs back to Michigan,” said Cox.

In addition to Cox’s message of less government spending and lower taxes, Facebook users are responding to Cox’s personal use of the networking site.  While others use staff to impersonate candidates on social networking sites or talk only about politics, Cox personally updates his Facebook page.

Cox is the only candidate for Governor to release a comprehensive 92 point plan to put Michigan back to work, including proposals to reform education, cut billions of dollars out of the state budget, cut taxes on job providers and families by $2 billion, make government more transparent and revitalize our cities. The plan is available at www.mikecox2010.com.
